The Roo – History, Tradition and Iron
Our campus community welcomed the installment of a new bronze kangaroo statue sculpted by noted Kansas City artist Tom Corbin. The statue provides campus with a beautiful physical representation of the university’s mascot and is a celebration of the rich legacy of student-driven traditions at UMKC. The UMKC Student Government Association gifted the school with the statue as part of Chancellor C. Mauli Agrawal’s investiture.
